INTRODUCTION / BACKGROUND TO THE COURSE:

In the last two decades or so, there has been an increased desire to establish functional Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) systems in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Uganda and in many East African Community Partner States. This drive to establish IQA systems has been due to an increased demand by the public for quality higher education. It became evident that HEIs need to establish clear, comprehensive and structured systems that can ensure quality of the education provision and in turn promote public confidence and trust in the quality of the graduates coming out from the HEIs.
